Car rental in the Baltic countries is also available for people with disabilities

November 24, 2015. Sixt rent a car in collaboration with a non-governmental organization Apeirons is offering to rent cars equipped with hand control. Creating such a service for people with disabilities will make traveling in Latvia and the Baltic countries more accessible. Sixt provides hand control installation free of charge.

Sixt is the first international car rental company in the Baltics, which offers services for people with disabilities. The service is available for persons with reduced mobility, who are able to drive using hand control and have a valid driver's license. Before rental, the car is equipped with special hand control system, which is an easy to install and easy to use device for any car with automatic transmission. Hand control system allows the driver to drive the car only with the help of hands, controlling gas and brake. Thanks to the modern and easy to use device, the car can be easily transformed into its normal state to hand over the steering wheel to a person who doesn't need the hand control system. Read more

This year, the prize was awarded as part of a ceremony in Sardinia.

Over the last year the turnover of Sixt Latvia has increased by 25% reaching 10,2 million euro

July 15, 2015. Customer acquisition and development of new services ensured business growth in Latvia and the Baltic States for Sixt in 2014, which made it the leading car rental service provider. Sixt Latvia turnover in 2014 amounted to 10.2 million euro, which is 25% more than in 2013. And Sixt consolidated turnover in the Baltics is now 12.5 million euro, representing 29% growth. The consolidated profit of the group of companies is 402 thousand euro.
